My biggest tip regarding the thresher is this: If the move is parry-able, parry the first hit then dodge back you'll avoid the remaining slashes and bites, land 1-2 hits repeat this until the Thresher burrows under where you go on to roll away. You don't need to parry every single attack. Parry then dodge away.
